Smart Multi-Use Logistik - researching the future of parcel logistics

Like many other logistics sectors, parcel logistics has been experiencing a continuous increase in shipment volumes for years. This rapid growth poses major challenges for the CEP industry. In contrast, media logistics struggle with enormous cost increases due to constant circulation losses. The objective of the research project Smart Multi-Use Logistics is to digitally support the cooperation of these logistics sectors. It promises a solution to the current challenges, but at the same time requires end-to-end digitization and standardization within and across company boundaries. The use of electric vehicles will also ensure a significantly improved environmental balance.
