Frank Schönung
Frank has a graduation diploma in mechanical engineering. He received a graduation PhD in mechanical Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at the Institute for Conveying Technologies and Logistics at KIT. He then went on to be Head of department conveying technologies at the Institute for Conveying Technologies and Logistics at KIT. He is now involved in research logistics and production at the research department of SEW Eurodrive GmbH & Co KG which involves: System architecture for mobile assistant systems; Material flow control for Mobile logistics assistants and AGV; Intralogistics solutions based on mobile assistants; Intermodal transportation; and Urban logistics.Presentation
Innovative delivery robot for the last mile
Considering the prognosis of parcel volume, it’s hard to believe that today’s parcel logistics and today´s supply chains in general will be sufficiently satisfying the logistic needs of 2030.
