Mobile printer manufacturer Bixolon exhibited its range of industrial, desktop and mobile labelling solutions for the logistics market at Parcel+Post Expo today, October 12, 2021.
At the Expo, Bixolon highlighted its SLP-DL410, an ultra-compact, 4-inch fan-fold and large label printer, plus the XL5-40, a linerless desktop label printer. As liner foil is a type of plastic, the XL5’s linerless technology is designed to address environmental concerns by removing this waste from its operation.
Scott Song, sales manager for Bioxolon’s UK and Ireland branch, said, “The pandemic has made people want to reduce contact when making deliveries, this is what our contactless labels can provide. However, as a result of liner technology, these companies are printing out a lot of plastic waste. This product is designed to reduce that waste while still providing contactless printing technologies for the logistics sector...XL5 will stick just as well, even without the liner.”
Song added, “We want to introduce this linerless technology to all of our lineups, including our mobile products, within this year or the next.”
This product was accompanied by the XD5-40tR, a 4-inch Thermal Transfer desktop label printer with UHF RFID encode and print capabilities. Alongside this label printing technology, Bixolon also exhibited the XT5-40NR, a powerful 4-inch Thermal Transfer Industrial radio-frequency identification (RFID) label printer. The show also gave Bixolon the opportunity to feature its new XM7-40 4-inch, SPP-R200PLUSIII and XM7-20 2-inch (58mm) Liner and Linerless Mobile Label printers which are all designed to produce quality printing outputs at high volumes.
Jay Kim, managing director of Bixolon Europe, said, “Bixolon is looking forward to discussing the ongoing requirements and needs of the industry with key leaders at the show, while demonstrating its future ready range of label printing solutions.”
