Isitec International will be at Parcel+Post Expo to talk about its project with Tunisian Post, which aims to manage incoming and outgoing parcels in the airport hub of Tunis Carthage. Isisort+ will handle the process of securing via x-ray the penning of bags, control of parcels, weighing, measurement, reading of barcodes/OCR and the exit of parcels with 60 directions/outputs.
The system – which the company says is a first in Africa – is controlled by a PC automaton that communicates directly with Tunisian Post’s computer system.
Based on the active technology wheel sorting, the machine is able to handle parcels or polybags weighing from 20g to 15kg and sized from 120 x 120 x 5mm to 800 x 500 x500mm at a speed of 1,400 objects/hour.
