Isaac Gnamba-Yao

Director General of the Côte d’Ivoire Post since 2016, Isaac is a pure product of the digital economy ecosystem, both in Côte d'Ivoire, Africa and the Middle East, where he has served in the areas of sales, marketing and new market acquisition strategy. Having worked for a number of telecom, Internet, payment services and e-governance operators, he is now one of the rising figures in the cyber-economy, regularly invited as an international expert or speaker. The postal sector, which is currently undergoing profound change, stands at a crossroads, rolling out multiple strategies and large-scale actions to define a new economic model for its revival, in a world dominated by digital and logistics; it is in this context that Isaac has the weighty responsibility of successfully restructuring and revitalizing his organization, the Côte d'Ivoire Post. At the Universal Postal Union’s last Congress in Abidjan in August 2021, the highest authorities of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire appointed him to represent his country, which chairs the Council of Administration of the 192-member Union for the current four-year cycle. In this role, he is tasked with leading the implementation of a global postal strategy focused on digitalization of postal services and development of e-commerce.
